As the Artistic Director of the LGT Young Soloists, chamber orchestra music has been at the heart of my artistic journey over the past decade. That’s why I was thrilled to learn about Henle Verlag’s new segment, Music for Chamber Orchestra. I had the privilege of previewing one of their first releases, Elgar’s Serenade for Strings, presented in a stunning new edition. True to Henle’s renowned standards, this edition combines meticulous craftsmanship with exceptional quality in both the score and its overall presentation. It is also exciting to see the release of Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings, along with beloved masterworks such as Dvořák’s Serenade for Strings and Grieg’s Holberg Suite. And this is only the beginning—many more treasures, including Antonio Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, are on the horizon in this inspiring series. Thank you Henle Verlag for this wonderful initiative! I can’t wait to explore these works with my beloved LGT Young Soloists and share them with our audience! (Photo © LGT Young Soloists)
