Without a doubt, G. Henle Publishers is THE publishing house for Beethoven. For decades we have worked extremely closely with the most important Beethoven research institute in the world: the Beethoven-Haus in Bonn. This cooperation has not only resulted in the scholarly-critical New Beethoven Complete Edition, our blue Beethoven Urtext editions are also considered standard works because they are based on the trusted musical text in the New Complete Edition.
In collaboration with the Beethoven-Haus we have also published important definitive scholarly works on Beethoven: the Complete Edition of Beethoven’s Correspondence, the New Catalogue of Works in two volumes that was published in 2014, as well as the two-volume work Accounts by Beethoven’s Contemporaries, published in 2009.
